This beautiful goat cheese makes a stunning presentation on any cheese board. Ashley Goat is a bloomy rind, ash dusted pasteurized goat’s milk cheese with a line of ash running through the middle. Ashley Goat is bright, fresh and tangy with a touch of earthiness from the ash.
Ashley Goat is made by Quality Cheese in Vaughan, Ontario.
Pair with basically any wine - white, red or rosé - any wine that is young, fresh, unoaked and lightly chilled. Which makes it the perfect summer cheese. -Sauvignon Blanc or other other crisp, citrus whites.
-Crisp dry rosé especially Provençal rosé and goats cheese is a great pairing (think summer picnics!)
-Fresh, fruity reds such as Beaujolais and other gamays, inexpensive red burgundy and Loire cabernet francs like Chinon, Saumur and Saumur-Champigny.
